Éliane de Latour began working on her documentary film, Animus Femina, when she was staying in the Cévennes in 2020. It is exciting to see how the project developed before its national release in France in January 2026. It all started the day after she came to see me in the studio, when I introduced her to Marie-Pierre Puech, the vet who set up and runs the wildlife hospital where I am artist in residence…

Éliane de Latour a commencé à travailler sur son film documentaire, Animus Femina, lors d’un séjour en Cévennes en 2020. C’est passionnant de voir comment le projet a évolué avant sa sortie nationale en France en janvier 2026. Tout a commencé le lendemain d’une visite à l’atelier quand je l’ai présentée à Marie-Pierre Puech, vétérinaire, fondatrice et gérante de l’hôpital pour la faune sauvage où je suis artiste en résidence.

The film was officially selected in competition at the Festival International du Film Ornithologique (FIFO) in Ménigoute in 2025 and was winner of the Citizens’ Jury organised by the Festival International du Film d’Environnement (France) in 2026.

Le film a été sélectionné en compétition au Festival International du Film Ornithologique (FIFO) à Ménigoute en 2025 et a remporté le prix du Jury Citoyen du Festival International du Film d’Environnement (France) en 2026.
