Cette année, je serais à La Vache Rouge pour les Puces d’Art.

Quarante artistes ont été invités à vider et brader leurs fonds d’atelier. C’est l’occasion de trouver des œuvres d’art à des petits prix.

Exposition de mon travail sur les vautours à Trèves (30750), au cœur des gorges du Trévezel, au pied du Causse Bégon et du Causse Noir.

Exhibition of my work on vultures in Trèves, a village in the Trévezel Gorges at the foot of the Causse Bégon and Causse Noir.

Cette année je participe aux Journées mondiales des Vautours avec une exposition de mon travail sur les vautours à Trèves, 30750 (France).

This year I am taking part in an event for International Vulture Awareness Day, with an exhibition of my work in Trèves, 30750 (Gard, France).

J’ai le plaisir d’annoncer que mon atelier figure dans la nouvelle édition du Petit Futé :

Isis Olivier, artiste et plasticienne, vit et travaille à Lasalle depuis presque 30 ans, et s’implique fortement dans la vie culturelle du village. Avec ses corps-territoires, ses paysages entre abstraction et évocation et ses estampes de corvidés, elle tisse un rapport sensible et poétique avec les Cévennes. Visiter l’atelier qu’elle partage avec l’artiste Bernard Le Nen, au style beaucoup plus urbain, permet une plongée privilégiée dans ses œuvres et son travail en cours.

I am delighted to announce that my studio is mentioned in the new edition of the French travel guide, Le Petit Futé :

Isis Olivier is an artist. She lives and works in Lasalle, where she has been for almost 30 years. She is very active in local cultural events. With her body-landscapes, her landscapes, which lie somewhere between abstraction and evocation, and her prints of corvids, she has a sensitive poetic relationship with the Cévennes. Visiting the studio that she shares with the artist, Bernard Le Nen – who has a far more urban style – will give you the chance to immerse yourself in her work.

Balade artistique lasalloise organisée par l’association l’USPOP, 30460 Lasalle

Pour cette édition de la Balade Artistique Lasalloise, je présente un travail sur les Corvidés. Ces oiseaux ont une grande intelligence et une capacité d’adaptation formidable. Étant opportunistes, les corvidés sont aussi charognards. De ce fait, ils sont souvent associés à la mort et à la transformation. Persécutés par l’homme, plusieurs espèces de Corvidés figurent sur la liste rouge de l’UICN.

For this year’s edition of the BAL, I am showing some work on Corvidae. Corvids are extremely intelligent and adaptable birds. As opportunists, they sometimes feed on carrion, which is why they are often associated with death and transformation. Persecuted by Man, several members of the Corvidae family are now on the IUCN red list of endangered species.

Artiste en résidence chez Goupil connexion, j’étais au rendez-vous avec Sarah Desteuque, photographe en résidence à l’HFS aussi (https://www.sarahdesteuque.org/). L’occasion de montrer notre travail et expliquer pourquoi la faune sauvage.

This year, I co-curated the exhibition “Change”, which is part of the International Biennial Paper Fibre Art event, hosted by the NTCRI in Taiwan and organised in partnership with the French association Chaîne de Papier.

The biennial presents two exhibitions:

Kozo Contemporary, Reflecting the soul and spirit of the maker – This exhibition celebrates kozo, an extraordinary versatile fibre, still used today for traditional papermaking in Taiwan.

Change, Textured landscapes in the Anthropocene – This exhibition showcases a wonderful range of paper and fibre artworks created by artists in response to the environmental crisis and climate change.
